A natural paradise welcomes Vastogirardi, a village in Molise that rises within the Riserva Naturale Orientata di Montedimezzo, a UNESCO MAB Reserve, among woods, high peaks and springs. The village is part of the Alto Molise Mountain Community.
It is a mountain village with ancient origins that still preserves evident traces of its past on the territory. It rises at 1200 meters above sea level near the Trigno river, on the border with Abruzzo.
